The Khuzistan Hydro Powerplants Installation Maintenance Company , in accordance with the Law of Commerce and under  license of the Khuzistan Water and Power Authority  separated from the Khuzistan Power Plant Installation and Maintenance company through  a combination of public and private shares  with the sole purpose of  centralizing and consolidating  specialized human resources and technical skills in the field of Power Plants, and in 2002 established its offices in the city of Ahwaz.Since March 2003 KHPPIM CO .  has officially commenced its activities as the sole contractor for the repairing and maintenance of  he hydroelectric power stations of  the Dez and Shahid Abbaspour Dams . KHPIMC has been ranked by Presidential Division of Planning and Strategic Supervision as having Grade 1 in Energy Sector, Grade 4 in Water Sector and Grade 5 in Public Facilities Sector .
